The Impact Scholars Program is a campus support program for students with experience in foster care (SEFC) and/or homelessness, designed to walk with you through college instead of leaving you to figure it out alone.
Â
As an Impact Scholar, you get individualized support, connections to campus and community resources, help with financial planning and academic success, and access to scholarships paired with mentoring so you have both funding and a consistent person in your corner.
Â
The program also creates opportunities for leadership, networking, and giving back to younger youth in foster care, so you can build your degree, your community, and your voice at the same time.

Fostering Scholars- Seattle University

Fostering Scholars is a full scholarship and wraparound support program for students with lived experience in foster care (SEFC).
Â
Scholars receive funding that covers tuition, books, approved education-related expenses, all enrollment fees, and year‑round on‑campus housing and meal plan, plus individualized academic and personal coaching, mentoring, and educational programming focused on academic, professional, and life skills.

The program also brings students together in a supportive staff and peer community, so you’re earning your degree with a strong network that understands foster care experience and is committed to your long‑term success.

Champions- University of Washington

The Champions Program at the University of Washington is a campus support program (CSP) for undergraduate students with experience in foster care (SEFC) and students who have experienced unaccompanied homelessness.
Â
It offers one‑on‑one academic and personal support, financial guidance and emergency funding referrals, career preparation, workshops and life‑skills development, and help navigating campus and community resources.
Â
Champions also creates regular opportunities for community‑building through socials, study jams, wellness activities, and graduation celebrations, giving students a consistent network of staff and peers who understand their experiences and are invested in their long‑term success.

Western Success Scholars- Western Washington University

Western Success Scholars (WSS) offers holistic, one‑on‑one support from dedicated staff, help setting and reaching academic and life goals, navigation of financial aid and campus resources, emergency funds, and direct connections to liaisons across offices like tutoring, libraries, and career services.

The program also builds community through monthly dinners, social events, and workshops, creating a safe and caring space where students can find peers with similar experiences and a team that stays in their corner from transition into WWU through graduation and post‑graduate planning.
