The Foster Youth College Success Initiative (FYCSI) program provides enhanced support for students with a background in foster care or those qualifying as independent status.

The City University of New York (CUNY) FYCSI program, is a comprehensive support system that give students access to a structured framework for academic, social, financial, and psychosocial support at any CUNY 2-year or 4-year college.

CUNY’s FYCSI is dedicated to empowering students in higher education, by providing aid and tools to facilitate academic achievement and nurture personal growth.

Designed to meet each student’s holistic needs, the program helps remove barriers that could disrupt academic progress. FYCSI offers a comprehensive support system across SUNY 2- and 4-year campuses, connecting students to academic, financial, social, and psychosocial resources.

Through this coordinated approach, the program empowers students to achieve their educational goals while building a strong foundation for personal growth.

Camden Fellows- Rutgers Camden

ABOUT
Â
The Camden Fellows program is a dedicated support community founded in 2020 for current and former foster youth, built on the belief that students with shared child welfare experiences deserve a place on campus where they are truly seen, encouraged, and celebrated.

Â
Fellows receive one-on-one personal coaching, access to career and educational workshops, internship placements, and housing support, which are all tailored to meet each student's individual needs.
​
Â
The program also provides emergency funding and basic needs support for things like textbooks, food, and transportation, so that everyday financial stress doesn't get in the way of reaching your full potential.
