This webinar Tuesday, August 18, 2020, 11am-noon Pacific time (2-3pm Eastern Time). The presenter will be NRC-FAHE co-founder Angelique Day, MSW, Ph.D. Dr. Day is an Associate Professor in the University of Washington School of Social Work. This presentation is entitled “The status of federal policy and the impact on college going among foster and homeless youth: A review for researchers and campus support providers.” This presentation will provide an overview of recently enacted administrative policy by the Children's Bureau and proposed legislative policy efforts that have been introduced to address college access and retention rates of foster and homeless youth. The national election is now only months away; this presentation will be interactive and time will be allocated to generate new public policy ideas to be included on NRC's advocacy agenda for the new administration.
